Leo didn't have a Vista disc. Nobody did. He sat in the dark, staring at his beautiful, unusable machine, now a perfect, gorgeous, utterly stranded ghost of an operating system.
Leo stared at his Windows 11 desktop, the familiar centered taskbar and soft pastel folders suddenly feeling like a cage. He’d been here before. The minimize, maximize, and close buttons were the old chunky spheres, but when he clicked "Close," the window shattered into flying glass polygons that dissolved into pixels.
