During a storm, Anji takes shelter in the forgotten temple where Takshaka is trapped. Takshaka possesses a local prince ( Rambha in a dual role – villainous prince) and unleashes terror. Anji, initially helpless, realizes that only Lord Venkateswara’s power can stop the serpent. He undergoes a spiritual awakening, shaves his head (a famous scene), and climbs the Dwajasthambam to offer himself.
