The massacre ends only when the lights are turned off and booming speakers announce: “Any further violence will result in collective punishment.” The next morning, players wake to a massive empty hall with four doors: red, yellow, blue, and green. Meanwhile, sneaks through the ventilation shafts to scout the facility. She discovers a control room with masked workers monitoring every corner of the dormitory—confirming the players are livestock, not contestants. The Night Riot Tensions explode when a group of players (led by Jang Deok-su, Player 101, a violent gangster) accuses another player of hiding food. A brutal free-for-all breaks out. Gi-hun, Sang-woo, Sae-byeok, and the elderly Oh Il-nam (Player 001) hide under bunks. Deok-su murders a player in front of them. The Front Man watches from a remote booth, sipping whiskey, as the masked soldiers record the carnage.
