When Volition released Saints Row IV in 2013, critics called it "absurd," "over-the-top," and "the moment the series jumped the shark." Five years and one Game of the Century Edition later, those same critics are finally admitting they were having fun the entire time. If you want realism, go play Grand Theft Auto

9/10 – The Century is still young, but this might be the best joke the medium has ever told.

This is the video game equivalent of a summer blockbuster that knows it’s stupid. It’s for players who want to feel unstoppable. Where else can you play as a President who uses a tentacle bat to fight aliens while dressed as a Victorian gentleman?
