Then the broadcast ends. No host. No show. Just silence. And the other side keeps burning. No one to listen. No one to tell them they’re not alone.

(30s, hoodie, insomnia, ex-film student turned "digital janitor") sits in a cold server room. Racks of hard drives blink blue. He works for RETROFADE , a company that rescues obsolete media.
A CRT television flickers to life. On screen: (40s, sharp suit, cigarette smile), cult-favorite host of the late-night horror-adjacent show Night Whispers . She sits at a vintage wooden desk. Behind her, a single window shows a fake city skyline and a cardboard moon. Marlow does not wave back
She laughs. No studio audience. Just a single red "ON AIR" light.
Static hisses from a nearby studio monitor. The screen flickers. Max appears—but she’s younger . And not quite right. Her eyes reflect like a cat’s.
“Marlow Vance. You were always going to find this. Come to the station. 3 AM. Bring the tape.” Call it an experiment
