But then he paused. He looked at the Babel Talisman. He looked at Jade's phone.

Jackie hopped onto a Vespa. A policeman tried to stop him. "Ferma! Sei in arresto!" Jackie heard the words as perfect Portuguese: "Stop! You are under arrest!" He apologized in Cantonese, which the policeman heard as flawless Swedish.

Chow shrugged. "I dunno, man. I thought it was Tuesday."

Back in Section 13, Uncle was furious.

The Dark Hand's helicopter chased him over the Brandenburg Gate. The pilot shouted, "Feuer frei!" But Finn, in the back seat, heard it as Italian: "Fuoco a volontà!" He accidentally pushed the wrong button, launching a net instead of a missile. Jackie put up his fists

Uncle nodded sagely. "One more thing, Jackie."

Ratso, Finn, and Chow slid down a pipe, grinning.

"Magic is about precise words, Jackie! You have turned Europe into a language soup!" He held up a bag of herbs. "We need the reverse incantation. But the words are scrambled. I cannot read my own spell book!" He looked at Jade's phone

What happened next was impossible. Finn opened his mouth to demand the talisman again, but the words that came out were a confused jumble. (French for "Your wallet or your life!")

"Jackie! The Enforcers are getting closer!" Tohru yelled.

"Google? Bah! Electronic garbage!" Uncle scoffed.
