Arjun stared at the file name still sitting in his download folder. The ".H..." at the end. He'd always assumed it stood for "Hindi." But now, watching the man's smile widen, he realized the truth.
Arjun wanted to laugh. Call it CGI. Call it a deepfake. But the date on the footage was today's date. And the room behind the man—the peeling wallpaper, the single tube light—it was the same room Arjun had seen in a dream last week. A dream he had told no one about.

He took a breath. Opened the laptop again.
"Don't close the lid again, Arjun. That's rude." The man smiled. "I'm not a hacker. I'm not law enforcement. I'm just a collector."
