After some searching, I’ve found the best version. It shrinks the game from the original ~1.2GB down to just 180MB without killing the audio or removing the story mode cutscenes. This is for preservation
If the screen stays black, go to PPSSPP → Settings → Tools → Developer Tools → Enable "Save GE screen to memory."
