Reaper went for the jump-stab , the classic 1.6 move. In mid-air, his hitbox extended. Paladin didn't dodge. He stepped into the blade.

"Fine," Reaper typed. "Last slash wins." They met in the middle of B tunnel, the blue CT light versus the red T glow. No Agility . No Invisibility . No Nova . Just two sprites from 2003, crouching, staring, circling.

Three seconds in Counter-Strike 1.6 is an eternity. In Superhero Mod, it’s a lifetime. Reaper moved like a glacier of doom. He didn't need to run fast. [CT]Paladin: "Reaper. 1v1. No powers. Just knives."

"You're dying," Reaper taunted.

Paladin struck first. Left click . A quick slash. -15 HP. Reaper grinned (digitally) and slashed back. -20 HP.
