“I’ll write it! I’ve been practicing my ventriloquism.” He moves his lips obviously. “Hello, I’m Mr. Wiggles. I hate brownies and love tax evasion.”

“Oh, hell no. I am not writing a letter for a wooden puppet. That’s how demonic possession starts. I saw a documentary. It was called Child’s Play 2 .”

The group realizes the dummy isn’t haunted—Dean Pelton hid a speaker inside it to “test their loyalty.” He appears in the doorway, wearing a matching dummy outfit.

“Or—and hear me out—we could do something meaningful. Like protest the school’s new policy banning emotional support lizards.”

The group splits into factions. Jeff argues for ignoring the problem. “The dummy isn’t real. Dean Pelton is just lonely. Let him have his weird hobby. I once dated a woman who collected porcelain clowns. I survived.”

The dummy bites Pierce’s finger.

But when Chang brings the dummy to the study room, its head turns on its own. Everyone screams. Abed whispers, “Plot twist. I’ve seen this episode. It’s Dead of Night , 1945.”

“That’s called acting , Troy.”

Dean Pelton screams.

“End of episode freeze frame on Jeff’s face.”

Shirley forms a prayer circle with Troy and Abed to “exorcise the dummy’s wooden soul.” Troy brings a drum. Abed brings a camera.

“What if it’s… a metaphor? For how we all feel like puppets in a system we don’t control?”

The dummy’s head turns slowly. Its wooden lips curl into a smile.

The group stares in silence.
